On January 15th, Mark Zuckerberg unveiled the third pillar of the Facebook ecosystem. Along with News Feed and Timeline, Facebook now includes Graph Search.
Graph Search allows users to dig deeper through their friends, as well as friends of friends. According to Read Write Web, the advanced search tool filters friends based on their personal information, likes, and check-ins. At the Facebook event, Mark Zuckerberg demonstrated the new tool with a search for “Photos of my friends before 1990.” And if the social graph doesn’t have what you’re looking for, a new partnership between Facebook and Bing will generate a web search to help fill in the gaps.
According to Read Write Web, Zuckerberg stated that Graph Search is a beta product that is in its very early states.
