To increase online traffic to the Sears Canada Facebook page and provide fans with a festive Holiday application while donating $1 for every “Like” to the Sears Canada Charitable Foundation. The application allows users to add their profile picture to the Tree of Wishes. They can also create and decorate their own holiday card to send to friends.
Majestic Media created an engaging Open-Graph Facebook application. Here are some of the highlights:
• Implemented Facebook’s new Open-Graph API to notify user’s friends when they tag a friend, create an album, send a holiday card
• Allowed for image tagging within the application and notifications sent to users on their Facebook wall
• We utilized Facebook albums so users can easily upload a photo from any computer rather than relying on their own computer with their images (improves user experience)
• Custom flash tool enabled users to upload and adjust their image within a selected frame
• Flash implementation: ability to select a frame and decorate your image with an easy to use drag and drop tool
• Encourages users to share their e-card with friends
• When viewing a friend’s e-card, users have the ability to like, send or comment on the image using Facebook’s Social Plugins
